Dues
Annually dues cost $350. If you come in the middle of a fiscal year,
your dues will be prorated. Arrangements can be made for monthly or
quarterly payments if unable to pay the balance in full. Due include
all meals and entrance in various club-sponsored events.
Attendance
Members are responsible for attending at least 60% of meetings and club
functions. This includes bi-weekly meetings as well as various
events hosted by the different committees.
All Rotaract Club of Springfield members are required to attend at
least one Boys and Girls Town volunteer event per year. If a member cannot
attend a regularly scheduled Boys and Girls Town event, then they must
contact the Rotaract Community Service Chair to schedule their own time to
volunteer, and are responsible for notifying the Rotaract Secretary upon
completion of the community service. If a member does not attend a Boys
and Girls Town volunteer event, their membership in the club will not be
renewed.
All Rotaract members are required, in addition to the above-mentioned
policy, to volunteer one other time per year for either a Street Clean Up
or a second Boys and Girls Town volunteer event. If a member does not
attend a Street Clean Up or a second Boys and Girls Town event, they are
fined $50 to be paid by December 1 of the following membership year. The
Board may vote to substitute other events or volunteer opportunities to
fulfill the second Boys and Girls Town event or to attend a Street Clean
Up.
All returning members and new members joining between July 1 and
December 31 will have to meet all requirements listed above. Members
joining between January 1 and February 28 must either attend one Street
Clean Up or one Boys and Girls Town event, or will receive the $50 fine.
Members joining on March 1 or after are not required to fulfill either
requirement or pay a fine. Exceptions to this policy may be voted on and
approved by a 2/3 vote of the Rotaract Club of Springfield Board.
